The Albatros D.III was a biplane fighter aircraft piloted by the German and Austrio-Hungarian Air services during World War I. These aircrafts were flown by many of the top German Ace pilots and was very dominant during their period. The Albatros is constructed of a semi-monocoque, plywood skinned fuselage. The sesquiplane arrangement of the wings offered improved climb, maneuverability, and downward visibility compared to previous aircrafts. It was prone to spinning but easily recoverable.
Dynam have captured the essence of this elegant warbird from a time long since passed with its unique silhouette of the familiar Biplane arrangement, all created in EPO foam. Adding to the scale realism of this vintage warbird is the machine gun on the nose of the aircraft and colorful scale makings which are typical of the markings used in the day.
This ready to fly Albatros is equipped with Dynam's 2.4ghz radio system and powered by a powerful BM3720A 600KV Brushless motor and 14.8v 2200mah Lithium battery which gives the RC pilot the ability to gracefully float about the sky in a scale like manner or "crack" the throttle for more more spirited flying with some crazy maneuvers which are easy to recover from due to the gentle flying characteristics of this plane.
This version of the Dynam Albatross is supplied with a 6 Channel Gavin 6C Digital Radio System that also includes a 7 channel receiver. The transmitter is fully programmable through the inbuilt LED screen and is suitable for airplane, helicopter, and multi-rotor applications.
With a memory that can store up to 30 aircraft setups, the Gavin 6C caters from trainers through to intermediate aircraft applications.
